Sumayah Chappelle’s most recent body of work includes several mosaic sculptures showcasing at Crome Yellow Springs’ studio. This project is also paired with a short film, “Renaissance” written, directed, and produced by Chappelle, which will premier in upcoming months. This body of work brings attention to the genocidal happenings taking place in Gaza, the Congo, Sudan, Yemen, and alike whilst capturing Chappelle’s personal journey in Islam.
